Application+

Activate one true teaspoon of powder with just shy of equal parts water to form a soft mousse. Massage into shower-softened, damp skin with the pads of your fingertips, leaving for a few minutes. Rinse, facing into the water and letting the shower stream rehydrate and easily wash the formula away.

A unique product with true results
As with many green beauty converts, this was one of my first truly clean skincare purchases when I transitioned to green beauty over a decade ago. And unlike most products that have come into and out of my skincare regimen, this is one I keep coming back to. The unique formula is a pleasure, albeit a bit messy, to use, and is super effective at providing a mild exfoliation while cleansing the skin clean. I love to add this to my cream or gel cleansers to provide even milder exfoliation during the winter months when moisture is sacred. A must have for us oily/combo types.

Gently exfoliates, cleanses, brightens, tones
Long story short: it’s the perfect exfoliator for people with Uber sensitive Skin and smells of gingerbread. It’s lovely to my skin, refining, brightening, helpful hormonally, and it’s been a wonderful way to have my skin glowing when I need that extra touch in cleansing, which my skin will dictate. It truly works as says. It takes so little, I do recommend!

Love this dirt
I first tried the clean dirt in a sample pack from may lindstrom. At the time, I didn't give it much attention and kind of use swept it to the side. One day, some time later, I used it as a cleanser and don't know why I didn't give it more credit later! A lot of exfoliators don't do the trick for me, but this one I truly feel cleans and softens my skin. I have even given it some time because a lot of products seem great off the bat for me, and then later weaken effectively. I went through the whole sample pot and decided to order a full size, which is rare for me! I know I can trust the ingredients and actually wish I could use it more than I do (try to give breaks between the exfoliation). As all of her products, the smell is therapeutic as well. Definitely recommend, unless you have a sensitivity to spice like cinnamon, then I would maybe sample first.

I wanted to love this... but OUCH!!
I hate to spoil the near perfect star rating for this product, but boy- so.much.pain. I've tried it in a myriad of ways, as I was REALLY trying to make it work, but sadly, The Clean Dirt always left me with angry, red, irritated skin. *sigh*

On the Fence
Purchased this after reading so much praise for the product. I was pumped! Love how easy it is to work into a lathery foam. The scent is far different from any other product I've used - I like it, don't love it. The cooling/tingling sensation after initial application made it feel like the product was really working underneath my skin. Felt refreshed after rinsing off and skin looked brighter and healthier, but the next day, I woke with a minor breakout. Disclaimer, it was my time of the month so I'm unsure if the breakout was a result of that or because of the product. I will be using the product again and will update my review accordingly.
